 Getting Most Out of your SAS Visual Analytics using Android Emulator :

SAS Visual Analytics a powerful tool to visualize your data and report on the go. It provides excellent user interface for generating reports and working with Exploration to get insight of your data.

Recently, working with my consulting team on VisualAnalytics, I noticed that even though developers are good in developing reports they lack of vision on how my reports will look like on SAS Mobile Application. Even they were not clear about annotation feature of mobile application and how commenting will work in SAS Mobile BI along with sending those reports via email.

Once, I thought of providing on IPAD or Nexus to them so that they can understand and play with mobile application for better understanding. But, for data security point of view it was not done.

In a quest of providing a solution, I found android emulator called “GenyMotion” which is a virtual android OS installed via oracle virtual box.

This application can utilize the “Google Play” to download SASMobile BI Application where you can take advantage of viewing all reports and exploration on windowing environment.

  

 And guess what, Mobile application was working perfectly on android emulator.  I tried with Bluestak but not compatible with SAS Mobile BI.

Advantages:

1)      Get a feel of Mobile BI reports and explorer to windows OS

2)      Reports distributed to multiple people in organization don’t need to have Samsung note or I-pad. It saved me money…

3)      Management can have same look and feel of report i.e. on tab or on desktop.

4)      Windows 8 with touch screen (20 inch or more), Brings much more fun in report viewing and exploration.
